Cancellation & Refunds Policy

1. Overview

This Cancellation & Refunds Policy outlines the terms for canceling service requests and obtaining refunds for Get My Car's valet notification platform. We strive to provide fair and transparent policies for both guests and venue partners.

2. Guest Pickup Request Cancellations

As a guest using our valet service, you may cancel a pickup request under the following conditions:

  • Before Valet Assignment: Full cancellation with no charges if canceled before a valet is assigned
  • Within 2 Minutes of Request: Free cancellation if canceled within 2 minutes of submission
  • After Valet Assignment: Cancellation may incur a service fee as determined by the venue
  • Vehicle in Transit: Once your vehicle is being retrieved, cancellation is not available

To cancel a request, use the cancellation button in your SMS link or contact the venue directly.

3. Venue Subscription Cancellations

Venues using Get My Car can cancel their subscription according to their plan terms:

  • Starter Plan: Cancel anytime with 30 days notice
  • Pro Plan: Cancel anytime with 30 days notice
  • Enterprise Plan: Cancellation terms as specified in your contract

4. Refund Policy for Guests

Refunds for guest service charges are handled as follows:

  • Service Not Provided: Full refund if the valet service was not delivered
  • Significant Delays: Partial refund for delays exceeding 30 minutes beyond estimated time
  • Vehicle Damage: Refund of service fees; damage claims handled by venue insurance
  • Technical Issues: Full refund if our platform malfunction prevented service delivery

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the service date. Processing time is 5-10 business days.

5. Refund Policy for Venues

Venue subscription refunds are provided under these circumstances:

  • Service Downtime: Pro-rated credit for platform downtime exceeding 99.9% uptime SLA
  • First 14 Days: Full refund if canceled within 14 days of initial subscription (Starter/Pro only)
  • Billing Errors: Immediate refund for any incorrect charges
  • Feature Unavailability: Partial refund if advertised features are not available

Monthly subscriptions are not pro-rated for partial months. Annual subscriptions may receive pro-rated refunds at our discretion.

6. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable:

  • Setup fees and onboarding costs
  • Custom development or integration work
  • Third-party service fees (SMS, payment processing)
  • Completed service requests where service was delivered as expected
  • Subscription fees after the 14-day trial period (unless otherwise specified)

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact our support team at support@getmycar.com
  2. Provide your order/transaction ID and reason for refund
  3. Include any supporting documentation (photos, timestamps, etc.)
  4. Allow 2-3 business days for review
  5. Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days

8. Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with a cancellation or refund decision, you may escalate the matter to our customer service manager within 30 days. We will review your case and provide a final decision within 10 business days. For venue partners, contract-specific dispute resolution terms apply.

9. Force Majeure

We are not liable for cancellations or refunds due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, power outages, internet service disruptions, or government actions. However, we will work with affected parties to find reasonable solutions.

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Cancellation & Refunds Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
